Questions we suggest asking your local councillors
Questions;
1)Do you support to closure of Grangemouth Stadium?
2)If the Stadium is closed are the council planning to create a new venue with an all weather track?
3)Is there an understanding that closure will decimate FVH and lead to the many volunteers including experienced well respected coaches leaving the sport?
4)Have the many benefits including mental and physical health, resilience ,and an important social interaction that will be lost been given adequate consideration ?Contradicts the council plan for promoting both physical and mental health.
5)Why did FC not conduct a viability study to assess the viability of the Stadium prior to an announced closure and this has been left to Scottish Athletics ?Will the council give full cognizance to the report and engage fully?
6)Is there an understanding that all users pay for using the facility?
7)Have the council explored ring fenced funding from the Scottish Government as the facility has local and national importance?
8)Will the council consider creating a vehicle with charitable status to remove rates liability?
