Reminder – Falkirk Victoria Harriers 2024 AGM Monday 29th January 7pm Club Hut – All Members encouraged to attend

This is a reminder to make all our Members aware of our Annual General Meeting for Monday 29th January 2024, 7pm at the Club Premises.

This is a time to have your say about your Club and we encourage every single person to attend if they can. We need as much support and Feedback to run the Club the way our Members want and we are always looking for new Members to join the Committee. This is the time where you have the opportunity to mould and shape the Club to enable us to bring even more success to the Athletes and their achievements.

We are also looking for new Committee Members as we have a few stepping down this year. In particular we are seeking a new Secretary. Our Vice President is also stepping down. The Committee is a necessity and we need your help.

This is a time to have your say about your Club and we encourage every single person to attend if they can. The 53rd Allan Scally Memorial Road Race 4 x 5k will be held at Glasgow Green on Saturday 2nd March 2024, Starting time 12noon

Race Headquarters :Glasgow Green Football Centre 28 King’s Drive Glasgow G40 1HB

4 x 5km Relay Certified IAAF measured course (AUKCM)

Traffic free course (Please note teams can be mixed (2 females and 2 males) and you must be 15 years old or older on 31/8/2023 to compete)

SA PERMIT EVENT

Cost of pre – entry £36 per 4 person team (this included the Green Tax we have to pay to Glasgow Council for each person using the Green)

East District XC League- Saturday 27th November Balbardie Park, Bathgate- all athletes U11 upwards

This is a reminder that the third and final event in the East District League takes place on Saturday 27th January at Bathgate.

Thank you to all athletes who have indicated your availability via Google form. Yet again, there has been a fantastic response. For other athletes this is a turn up on the day event but if you can let us know in advance through the google form link below it helps team managers know who to look out for on the day.

Once you are at the event numbers can be collected from the team tent. If you still have your number (11) from the last League event please bring it along but also remember to let a team manager know you are there. Remember to bring pins.

HELIX POND RACES 2024

Exciting new evening of road races in Falkirk.

Organised by Falkirk Victoria Harriers.

Proceeds to be reinvested into grass roots athletics in the area.

New distances.

New venue.

New PB? Fast, flat and corner free.

Taking place on the evening of Friday 7th June, the event will be run round the Helix Pond. Traffic free and without any sharp turns or corners, Falkirk Victoria Harriers are offering a choice of distances on a flat and fast looped circuit.

Officially measured and certified with a SAL licence these races will have electronic timing and will be eligible for inclusion on runbritain rankings and Power of 10.

Perfect for setting a new PB or age graded best.

The 1 mile and 3k road races will be broken into time graded races

The first race, over 1 mile will be at 5:30pm Subsequent timings will depend on the number of entries The plan is to split the entrants in groupings of up to 30 per race, based on predicted finishing time The evening will start with the 1-mile races, then the 3k races The order will be from slowest predicted time to fastest.

• Race Fees: £10 early bird entry until 16th April, thereafter £12

• Chip timing by Blast Running

• Free parking at Falkirk Football Club

• Scottish Athletics Licensed Event / Measured Course

• Multi-looped flat tarmac course

• Free entry for spectators

• Unfortunately, we are unable to offer refunds for this event.
