On Sunday 6th December a good number of Falkirk Vics made the short journey to Stirling University to the East District Champs with the hope of bringing home a District vest for the upcoming Inter-Districts on 10th January at Alexandra Park.
Many of our athletes done just that & there was a huge haul of 15 medals brought home .
Youngster Erin D was the one and only u13 that we had running. Finishing 44th.
Skye R (16th), Megan B (31st), Erin W (38th) & Ella Shepherd (44th) made up our 15 girls who finished 9th team.
Our u15 golden boys finished in team 1st position, Adam K (5th), Ben U (7th) & Thomas M (19th) made up the champion team, with Hamish G close on their tails (26th).
Over the u17 age group our girls Emily C (10th), Lara C (16th) & Isla P (21st) claimed the silver team medal & vanished before any photos could be taken so coach Jerome caught them at training!
Our u17 boys couldn’t be outdone and also claimed the silver team medal with Ray T finishing first overall! Ray T (1st), Hamish H 6th & Luke S (7th) made up the silver team and Cahal M(14th) closely followed.
Our sole u20 men runner Callum Hendry finished 2nd, and the excellent running didn’t stop there as our u20 woman made sure they got their hands on some bling too as Isabella Ogg (5th), Lucie Gibson (11th) & Charlotte Horne (14th) made up the 2nd place silver team. Katie Bennie (21st) also had a great run.
We had 4 senior & Masters woman running with Freya Ross (14th) finishing 1st in the v40 age category. Katie Christie (44th), Eilidh McCallum (73rd) & Janet Murray (108th) also ran well.
6 Senior & Masters men were last race of the day, and from what I have seen it was PRETTY MUDDY by now. Calum Little (20th), Alan Purves (98th), Micheal McQuaid (159), Eric Donaldson (185), Stephen Alexander (211) & Andrew Philip (225) – great running from all!
