Young People’s Forum Cohort 2
December 2021 saw the inaugural cohort of the Athletics Trust Scotland Young People’s Forum (ATS YPF) come together for the first time, and over the past two years, 17 inspirational young people from across the country have given their time to help shape athletics in Scotland. This forum aims to give young people a platform and voice in all aspects of the planning, development, and delivery of athletics in Scotland!
scottishathletics values and recognises the importance of providing opportunities for our young athletes, coaches, officials, and volunteers to input into decisions around our sport, and how it can have a positive outcome for young people. As such, scottishathletics would like to invite young athletes, coaches, officials, and/or club volunteers to express an interest in joining scottishathletics Young People’s Forum.
We would like to engage up to 15 young people aged between 14 and 23 years of age to participate in the Young People’s Forum.

The role will require a time commitment of a minimum 20-hours per-year which will include attendance and preparation for:
Members will serve for an initial period of two years.
The Young People’s Forum will continue look at two areas:

You will also be able to use your time and what you have learned towards the Duke of Edinburgh volunteer hours, profile for university applications and towards your CV.

The closing date for applications is noon on Friday 27th October 2023. Applications submitted after the deadline will not be accepted.
Interviews will be held on 11th and 12th November.

Just to let you all know that Lynda McKechnie will be at the XC event this Saturday, 21st October with a range of our Ronhill Club Clothing to purchase or order.

Just a wee reminder that the first event in the East District League takes place on Saturday 14th October at Kirkcaldy.
Thank you to all athletes who have indicated your availability via Google form. For any other athletes who wish to run this is a turn up on the day event but if you can let us know in advance through the google form link below it helps team managers know who to look out for on the day.

We are inviting both long and short-distance runners who have competed in the UK in the past 12 months to participate in a 10-minute survey on running injuries. Participation is not limited to injuries that occurred within the past 12 months.

Falkirk Victoria Harriers Annual Presentation Evening and After Party will be continuing again this year on November 11th at Dobbie Hall, Larbert.
Buffet and Disco included in the price of the Ticket and there will be a bar where you can purchase refreshments.
Arrival for 6.45 pm and the evening starts at 7pm sharp.
Tickets will be on sale at £15 per person.
Sale of tickets will commence on 24th October, 26th October, 31st October, 2nd November, 7th November and 9th November at Grangemouth Stadium from approximately 6.30 pm – 8.30 pm in the Café.
The new cross country season starts very soon with the first event being the East District relays on Saturday 7th October. An email with a link to the Google form should arrive in your inboxes soon to help us collect availability for everyone this season.
If you would like to run in the East relays can you make sure you return your form by Sunday 17th September so number of teams to be entered can be sorted out.
Can you also check your Scottish athletics membership will be valid on Saturday 7th October. If it expires before then can you ensure it is renewed before Thursday 21st September to ensure your entry is accepted.
