Falkirk Victoria Harriers – SuperTeams Cumbernauld • Saturday 30th May
Falkirk Victoria Harriers took a talented and enthusiastic squad to the Scottish Athletics SuperTeams event in Cumbernauld, where seven of our young athletes competed across the three‑discipline format of sprint, jump and throw.
The team delivered a brilliant all‑round performance, full of energy, determination and club spirit, with all seven athletes achieving at least one personal best during the competition.
FVH’s top four scorers — Costa Adeyemi, Max Herd, Tess Rennie and Annabelle Koch — combined to form a superb Team A, whose consistency across all events earned them a 3rd place finish on the day and a well‑deserved place in the SuperTeams Finals. A fantastic achievement for all four athletes.
FVH’s Team B — Anna‑Leigh Meaney, Holly Hogarth and Yasmin Giwa — competed with only three scoring athletes, which meant they were not eligible to qualify for the finals. Despite this disadvantage, they still produced an exceptional combined performance and finished as the highest‑placed three‑athlete team on the day.
Special mention for Costa Adeyemi – Top‑Scoring Boy at the Event
75m Sprint — 10.40s
Long Jump — 4.46m
Turbo Javelin — 16.90m
A dominant all‑round performance that placed him at the top of the boys’ leaderboard.
These results underline the strength and promise within the club, and the future for Falkirk Victoria Harriers is looking exceptionally bright.
